Launching a refreshed purpose  

Re-energising the organisation

On 1st May 2024, Wates launched their new purpose: ‘Reimagining places for people to thrive’, to 700 managers from across the business, along with the future strategy plan. It was then presented to the world as a marker to demonstrate how they are impacting people and the planet from a business perspective.

This was a unique and valuable opportunity for Wates to connect with every employee and unite around a shared goal and higher cause. We were tasked with creating a launch film to capture how they think and feel about the future of the business.

This was a film about enabling positive impacts – outcomes that can redefine our ability to prosper, in the places where we live, work and play.

We celebrated how Wates is improving lives, with a purpose that will shape their business for generations to come. In this film, we explored what it means to thrive and Wates’ colleagues give their own, very personal perspective on what thriving represents for them.
